Senior Distributed Systems Engineer (Java) – Remote Work

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer who is highly proficient in Java and experienced with the complex challenges of distributed infrastructure. You will work on a platform that processes continuous high‑volume data streams for thousands of organizations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Java‑based distributed system components with a focus on correctness, performance, and resilience.
• Develop and maintain data‑flow and stream‑processing pipelines that handle large volumes of data.
• Apply advanced concurrent programming techniques to ensure reliable scaling under production load.
• Diagnose and resolve distributed‑system issues such as race conditions, bottlenecks, and failure modes.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of system design.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Java development in distributed‑systems contexts.
• Deep understanding of distributed‑systems principles, trade‑offs, and failure patterns.
• Strong expertise in concurrent programming, including multithreading and asynchronous processing.
• Practical experience with data‑flow or stream‑processing platforms.
• Open‑source contribution experience is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
