Senior Project Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer at SBM Offshore, you will drive the delivery of complex offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring technical excellence, schedule adherence, and budget control. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to turn innovative concepts into reliable, low‑carbon energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities to meet project requirements.
• Lead technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to support decision‑making.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early, and implement corrective actions to keep milestones on track.
• Review technical documentation for compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout all project phases.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of project engineering experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
