Senior Quality Engineer (Java) – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with strong Java expertise to design and maintain test automation frameworks for a high‑complexity, distributed data platform used by enterprise customers worldwide. The role blends deep technical testing knowledge with an ability to embed quality into CI/CD pipelines and to identify systemic risk areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java‑based test automation frameworks covering functional, integration and end‑to‑end scenarios.
• Define test strategies that address failure modes of distributed backend systems.
• Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Champion quality engineering practices across development teams.
• Monitor test coverage, release confidence metrics and report findings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Java development in quality or test engineering.
• Proven experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
• Experience diagnosing defects and performing regression testing.
• Understanding of distributed systems and related testing challenges.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
