Senior R&D Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior R&D Project Manager to lead our pharmaceutical development portfolio. You will act as the single point of accountability, integrating scientific, technical, regulatory, and business functions to deliver life‑changing products on time, within budget, and in full compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end leadership for key R&D projects, translating portfolio strategy into execution plans.
• Manage critical dependencies, anticipate trade‑offs, and build scenario models to support senior leadership decisions.
• Lead and facilitate cross‑functional global and local matrix teams, documenting milestone meetings and resolving conflicts.
• Identify and assess technical, regulatory, clinical, industrial, and organizational risks; design mitigation and contingency plans ensuring GxP compliance.
• Prepare decision‑oriented documentation for executive governance forums and track timelines, budgets, risks, and KPIs.
• Mentor junior project managers and drive continuous improvement of PM tools, processes, and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Scientific degree (Pharmacy, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medicine or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of dedicated R&D project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of drug development processes, including CMC, clinical development, and regulatory pathways.
• Proven ability to influence multi‑stakeholder matrix teams without direct authority.
