Unix Engineer

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Unix Engineer to ensure the stability, security and performance of its Unix and storage platforms in Monaco. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day incident handling, infrastructure optimisation and delivery of strategic projects while complying with technology and information‑security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues and manage incidents in Unix environments.
• Implement changes and upgrades across Linux, HP‑UX and Red Hat platforms.
• Maintain backup solutions such as IBM TSM and Rubrik.
• Support identity and access management tools (LDAP, PAM, SSSD, VAS, Kerberos, SSO).
• Drive automation and scripting to reduce mean time to resolution.
• Participate in large‑scale Unix projects and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing incidents and delivering changes in Unix environments.
• Strong understanding of backup, IAM and security best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.
