About the role
SBM Offshore is seeking a New Market Program Lead to drive the identification and development of product opportunities in emerging markets. You will translate market insights, technology needs, and business strategy into actionable roadmaps that support the company’s growth and blue‑economy initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and quantify new market potential using technical and economic criteria.
- Identify market needs, pain points, and viable product opportunities.
- Evaluate fit with corporate strategic objectives and recommend positioning.
- Define and own the business roadmap, including technical and commercial activities.
- Lead cross‑functional internal teams and coordinate with external partners.
- Engage senior management for decision‑making and roadmap validation.
- Establish program organization, responsibilities, and accountabilities.
- Ensure the team has the required skills and expertise to deliver program streams.
- Foster teamwork, manage communications, and report progress to all stakeholders.
Required profile
- University degree in a relevant engineering discipline (business degree is a plus).
- 10‑15 years of experience in oil & gas, energy, chemicals, or similar industries.
- Proven project‑management experience in complex, cross‑functional environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to align market opportunities with corporate strategy.
- Excellent stakeholder‑management and alliance‑building capabilities.
