About the role
Join SBM Offshore’s Mechanical Design Engineering team in Monaco as an intern and help develop an innovative oscillatory test bench for offshore swivel systems. This 4‑to‑6‑month placement offers hands‑on experience in mechanical design, simulation, and reliability studies for critical FPSO components.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the mechanical design and 3D models of an oscillatory test bench for offshore swivel systems.
- Perform engineering calculations and numerical simulations to size, optimise and validate the test equipment.
- Support maintenance and reliability studies for critical offshore equipment.
- Collaborate with design, analysis, manufacturing and technology specialists to solve industrial challenges.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Interest in mechanical design and offshore engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Fluent English and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
