About the role
Join SBM Offshore’s Mechanical Design Engineering team in Monaco as an intern and contribute to the development of a next‑generation bogie system for FPSO weathervaning applications. You will work on a critical mechanical assembly that enables smooth rotational motion under harsh offshore conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in concept development and design of the new‑generation bogie system.
- Create 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using design tools.
- Perform engineering calculations and finite element analysis to validate designs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to improve reliability, maintainability and overall system performance.
Required profile
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles.
- Proficiency with 3D design tools.
- Understanding of engineering calculations.
- Experience with finite element analysis.
