Senior Software Engineer in Test (Java) – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test with strong Java expertise to ensure the reliability of distributed backend platforms serving enterprise customers worldwide. You will build robust automated testing solutions and work closely with development and DevOps teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test frameworks and suites in Java for distributed systems.
• Build and execute integration and end‑to‑end test coverage across multi‑component environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline quality gates and release readiness.
• Collaborate with developers to define testability requirements.
• Track and report test coverage and release quality metrics.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 5+ years of professional Java development.
• Deep knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release quality processes.
• Experience diagnosing defects and performing regression testing in distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed system behavior under test conditions.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
