Financial Control Analyst – 9‑Month Secondment

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Control Analyst to join Barclays’ Financial Control team in Monaco on a nine‑month secondment. The analyst will support month‑end closing, account reconciliation and group reporting for a small subsidiary while monitoring key risk metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and accounting records in line with applicable standards.
• Execute month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
• Identify, assess and report financial risks to senior colleagues.
• Maintain and test internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent misreporting.
• Develop and update financial policies, procedures and system configurations.
• Coordinate statutory and regulatory reporting, and liaise with external auditors.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in month‑end/quarter‑end reporting roles.
• Fluent French and working‑level English.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of French GAAP and IFRS, preferably within financial services.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
