About the role

Join a global technology services firm as a Google Cloud Platform Architect, focusing on AI‑driven mainframe modernization. You will help transform legacy COBOL systems into modern Java, Go, or .NET applications on GCP while advising clients on the business impact of these migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and lead the re‑design of legacy and mainframe‑class applications for deployment on Google Cloud.
• Design and implement data architecture solutions on GCP, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
• Engage with client stakeholders to explain the criticality of legacy systems and the benefits of modernization.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven track record in modernizing legacy or mainframe systems using Java, Go, or .NET.
• Strong background in GCP data services such as BigQuery and data pipeline design.
• Consulting or professional services experience with client‑facing project delivery.
• Familiarity with AI engineering practices like harness engineering or spec‑driven design.
• Excellent requirements‑gathering and test‑driven design skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
