Ingredient & Product Safety Evaluation Coordinator

About the role

The Ingredient & Product Safety Evaluation Coordinator supports Coty’s commitment to safe, high‑quality cosmetics by assessing new ingredients, formulas and packaging. The role combines toxicology expertise with regulatory knowledge to ensure compliance across the fragrance and beauty portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑safety evaluations on ingredients and formulas under development.
• Conduct in‑silico fragrance assessments using internal tools.
• Monitor and follow up on safety updates for the fragrance category.
• Assist with raw‑material qualification, including documentation review and supplier communication.
• Coordinate packaging safety evaluation projects.
• Draft Cosmetic Product Safety Reports in line with European recommendations.

Required profile

• Engineering level, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in toxicology, biology or chemistry.
• 1‑3 years of experience in the cosmetics industry or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with European recommendations for Cosmetic Product Safety Reports.
• Knowledge of toxicology endpoints and safety‑margin calculations.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (all applications).
• Fluent English communication skills.
