Investment Analyst – Venture Capital Contractor

About the role

Mercor is seeking a remote Investment Analyst with a focus on venture capital. This contract position supports the creation of board materials, market sizing, and investment memos for emerging AI research opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and produce board materials for venture capital projects.
• Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses to guide investment decisions.
• Develop concise investment summaries and strategic memos.
• Source and identify new deal opportunities within the venture capital ecosystem.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.
• Contribute to initiatives that may lead to longer‑term engagements with Mercur.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in venture capital at top‑tier firms.
• Proven ability to create board‑level presentation materials.
• Strong analytical skills in market sizing and TAM calculations.
• Experience drafting investment analyses and memos.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing and evaluating deal opportunities.
