Investment Performance Analyst

About the role

Mercor is seeking an Investment Performance Analyst to support its AI research labs by evaluating hedge‑fund strategies and enhancing AI‑generated financial content. This remote, contract position offers flexible hours and focuses on improving model performance through rigorous financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate long/short equity hedge‑fund strategies to inform AI model training.
• Develop and review financial models that improve AI‑generated financial outputs.
• Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses for AI research teams.
• Analyze investment research, summaries, and memos for AI model evaluation.
• Predict and analyze earnings to refine AI model predictions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and enhance model performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience at top hedge funds.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, market sizing/TAM analysis, or investment research.
• Ability to work remotely with a commitment of 10+ hours per week.
