Investment Research Analyst – Venture Capital (Remote, $100/hr)

About the role

Mercor is seeking an Investment Research Analyst with a venture‑capital focus to support its AI‑research lab partners. This remote, contract position offers up to $100 per hour and requires 10+ hours per week for a minimum of four weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and create board materials for venture‑capital projects.
• Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses to guide investment decisions.
• Develop concise investment summaries and memos that provide strategic insights.
• Source and identify potential deal opportunities within the venture‑capital ecosystem.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.
• Contribute to initiatives that may lead to longer‑term engagements with Mercur.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in venture capital at top‑tier firms.
• Proven ability to produce board‑level presentation materials.
• Strong proficiency in market sizing and TAM analysis.
• Experience drafting investment analyses, summaries, and memos.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing and evaluating deal opportunities.
