Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing project activities to ensure successful execution within time and budget constraints. The role involves both technical and administrative duties and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets in collaboration with the project manager and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies and risk assessments to support decision‑making.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues and implement corrective actions to achieve milestones.
• Review technical documentation, ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies to maintain effective communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in project engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and technical abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
• Knowledge of commercial contract management, cost and budget control.
• Understanding of risk management, planning and negotiation.
