Quantitative Analyst – Fixed Income Relative Value

About the role

Mistral Capital is looking for a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join its Fixed Income Relative Value team. The analyst will develop and implement quantitative models, build innovative analytical tools, and support data‑driven decision‑making across the fixed‑income markets, working closely with portfolio managers and traders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain quantitative models for fixed‑income analytics.
• Create and enhance tools and infrastructure that improve risk‑management processes.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to translate market insights into actionable models.
• Manage large datasets, including cleaning, processing, validation, and analysis.
• Participate in DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, test‑driven development, and version control.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (master’s or PhD) in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; a quantitative or finance degree is required.
• Minimum 5 years of quantitative development experience in a bank, hedge fund, or asset‑management environment focused on fixed income.
• Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Innovative attitude with a willingness to explore new modelling approaches.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong programming experience in C# (or C++, Java).
• SQL and relational database management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test‑driven development, agile methodologies, version control, and automated testing.
• Data‑management skills: handling large datasets, data cleaning, processing, validation, and analysis.
