Senior Corporate Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant with a strong focus on accounts payable to join our finance team. You will be responsible for managing invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor relationships while supporting month‑end close activities across our group entities.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review supplier invoices in line with company policies and IFRS principles.
• Execute timely payment runs and maintain accurate payment schedules.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolve supplier discrepancies, and analyse aging reports for cash‑flow management.
• Support the monthly closing process, including bank and petty‑cash reconciliation for group entities.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the AP function.
• Provide backup for other senior accounting functions such as general ledger, month‑end close, and financial audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on financial processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working in an international environment and fluency in English and Italian.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
