Senior Corporate Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to lead our accounts payable function, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and robust vendor relationships. The role also supports month‑end close activities and contributes to finance projects across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review supplier invoices, execute payment runs and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Support monthly closing for group entities, including bank and petty cash reconciliation in line with IFRS.
• Analyse aging reports, identify cash‑flow trends and propose efficiency improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement workflow improvements.
• Participate in departmental projects and implement best‑practice automation solutions.
• Provide backup for general ledger, month‑end close and financial audit tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
• International experience and fluency in English and Italian.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑starter who enjoys improving processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles.
