Technical Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist technology business to find a Technical Buyer / Procurement Specialist. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end purchasing process for a range of technical products, ensuring the right materials, suppliers and commercial agreements are in place to support engineering and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms and contracts.
• Source, evaluate and purchase technical equipment and components, including security solutions such as CCTV and access control systems.
• Manage RFQs, quotations, purchase orders and contract documentation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations and project teams to align procurement with technical specifications.
• Monitor supplier performance, onboarding new suppliers and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
• Ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are consistently met.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain roles.
• Background buying technical products or components, preferably with international suppliers.
• Strong negotiation and supplier‑management capabilities.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
