Yacht Accountant

About the role

The Yacht Accountant is responsible for managing the financial affairs of a luxury yacht, supporting the captain and owner with accurate accounting, payroll, budgeting and cash flow management. This role ensures all financial transactions are recorded correctly and that owners receive transparent monthly reports.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver detailed monthly accounts to the owner or their representative.
• Arrange timely payment of invoices, crew salaries and other expenses.
• Issue monthly fund requests for upcoming costs and manage cash or debit card balances for the yacht.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, representatives and captains on all financial matters.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding invoicing and ensure accurate payment processing.
• Provide answers to financial queries from the owner’s office and support APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in accounting or a numerical role.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in the yachting industry or a related maritime field is preferred.
