Credit Risk Management Officer – Lombard & Mortgage

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking a Credit Risk Management Officer to oversee Lombard and mortgage credit portfolios. You will work closely with the Credit and Legal Departments to ensure that credit activities comply with local and group requirements, while managing distressed positions and supporting decision‑making processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse detailed credit requests and submit them to the appropriate decision‑making competency holder.
• Perform periodic controls on individual credit files and the overall credit book.
• Prepare non‑standard documentation for contract violations or court proceedings.
• Monitor distressed transactions, coordinate with stakeholders, and supervise collateral shortfalls or excesses.
• Contribute to credit‑related projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree with a financial focus or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum five years of experience in a similar banking role.
• Strong knowledge of Lombard products and the French/Monaco real‑estate market.
• Excellent analytical abilities and a risk‑driven mindset.
• Meticulous, able to manage transactions from start to finish, and a team player with solid communication skills.
