Finance Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading real estate developer in Monaco, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the finance function, reporting to the CFO. The role involves managing accounting, financial reporting, and payroll while acting as a trusted business partner to the executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closings.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, liaise with external auditors, and ensure tax and VAT compliance under Monegasque regulations.
• Monitor project profitability, budgets, and cost‑to‑complete across the development portfolio.
• Produce monthly management reports and KPIs for General Management.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, banking relationships, and project financing follow‑up.
• Supervise and support the payroll team, handling day‑to‑day issues and process improvements.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and optimise financial systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (Master’s level preferred).
• Mandatory experience in an accounting firm or similar role, ideally in construction, real estate development or a project‑driven environment.
• Strong expertise in accounting and hands‑on payroll management.
• Good understanding of the Monegasque social and tax framework.
• Fluent French and good working English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
