Instrument Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Instrument Engineer to join our team in Monaco. The role combines engineering design with fieldwork, including offshore commissioning, troubleshooting and project support in maritime environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, focusing on 24V DC, marine‑grade and hazardous‑area equipment.
• Perform offshore commissioning, troubleshooting and on‑site support for installations.
• Interpret and produce electrical drawings, route and terminate cables, and assemble cabinets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant offshore or maritime electrical engineering experience.
• Familiarity with offshore safety standards and certifications such as BOSIET or HUET (preferred).

Required skills

• 24V DC systems, marine and hazardous‑area‑rated wiring.
• Cabinet assembly, cable routing/termination, and electrical drawing interpretation.
• Circuit protection, Ethernet and RS485 communication protocols.
• PLC operation and HMI interface experience.
• Basic knowledge of solar panels, MPPT controllers and battery banks.
• UHF and 4G radio modem systems.
• Fiber optic cable installation and diagnostics.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD.
