Investment Analyst – Private Equity Expert (Remote, $130/hr)

About the role

Mercor is seeking an Investment Analyst with private‑equity expertise to support AI research lab investments. This remote contract position offers up to $130 per hour and requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for at least four weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate financial models and provide insights to improve AI model outputs.
• Review market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analyses for alignment with investment strategies.
• Develop comprehensive investment summaries and memos to guide decision‑making.
• Collaborate on Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) creation and due‑diligence processes.
• Process NDA and other legal documents efficiently to support deal flow.
• Source potential deals and deliver strategic recommendations for investment opportunities.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in private equity at top firms.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling and market sizing/TAM analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to create investment summaries, memos, and CIMs.
• Experience handling NDA/legal documentation and sourcing deals.
